Our Story

African Ubuntu Safaris was born from a deep love for Africa and a desire to share its magic with the world. With decades of combined experience, our safari specialists have explored the continent, travelled the regions and built lasting relationships with the lodges, guides, and people along the way.

On the Australian side, our clients are looked after by Paul Tyler, who also grew up in South Africa, worked as a guide, and has spent around twenty years in the African tourism industry. Between Cuan in South Africa and Paul in Australia, you have real people on the ground in both hemispheres and effectively 24-hour contact from first enquiry to the final transfer home.

We specialise in mid-range to high-end safaris and arrange every part of the journey ourselves. Our hands-on approach means we can sweat the small details — and most clients tell us it feels like having their own safari guide from the moment they get in touch. We're not a big, faceless corporate, and we like it that way.
