    Kibale National Park highlight

    An excitingly unique activity offered in Kibale is the chance to spend a day on a chimpanzee habituation excursion. After finding the family of chimpanzees as they start their morning at around 05h30, you will spend the full day with these fantastic animals, all the way through until they start to nest again at around 19h30. Habituation is a way of getting the chimpanzees used to human presence, and is necessary in order to study their habits and allow for future tourism, which brings in well needed funding for their survival.

    Kibale National Park highlight

    For shorter excursions than the full day habituation, Kibale is excellent for chimpanzee trekking. Hiking through the lush, beautiful forest allows you sightings of the numerous primate species, with the highlight being the chimpanzee families. Guided walks take you deep into the forest, in search of the chimps. Your guides know numerous and intricate details about the abundant fauna and flora and you will be surrounded by birdcalls and beauty.
