Kafue National Park in April
Weather
April marks the end of the rainy season, with occasional light showers. Temperatures are pleasant, averaging around 25°C.
Highlights
The park transitions from wet to dry, with the Busanga Plains slowly starting to dry out. Excellent time for photography with clear skies after rain.
Best Areas
More areas become accessible, including parts of the northern sector. The Nanzhila Plains in the south offer good game viewing.
Pros
The park is still green and beautiful, but roads are improving. Good for birding and general game viewing as animals start to concentrate near water.
Cons
Some areas, especially the Busanga Plains, may still be partially flooded and inaccessible. Wildlife can still be scattered.
